We have chosen our name for the bear is our Founder's totem:
The primary meaning of the bear spirit animal is strength and confidence

The spirit of the the bear indicates it’s time for healing or using healing abilities to help self or others

Council of Witches - Volunteer Advisory Board Member
Organization: BearBridge Academy of Witchcraft and Psychic Development
Position Summary:
The Council of Witches is a distinguished group of individuals who volunteer their expertise and knowledge to advise the Headmaster of BearBridge Academy of Witchcraft and Psychic Development. Two people are chosen by the Headmaster and the White Coat (each) at the end of every year. As a Council member, you will provide guidance and support to the Headmaster and the student appointed White Coat, ensuring the highest standards of magical education and personal development are maintained.
Responsibilities:
1. Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to the Headmaster and the student appointed White Coat, offering insights, perspectives, and recommendations on matters related to the curriculum, student welfare, and overall academy operations.
2. Collaborative Decision-Making: Engage in open and constructive dialogue with fellow Council members to arrive at informed decisions that align with the vision and mission of the academy at our monthly meeting.
3. Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning discussions to shape the long-term direction and growth of BearBridge Academy, ensuring the academy remains at the forefront of magical education. Department heads are chosen from Council members.
4. Curriculum Development: Contribute expertise and experience to the enhancement of the academy's curriculum, providing guidance on new courses, learning methodologies, and magical practices.
5. Student Support: Offer guidance and mentorship to students as needed, providing assistance in personal and magical development, promoting a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, this includes moderation.
6. Networking and Community Engagement: Represent the academy at events and network with other magical institutions and professionals to foster collaboration and establish BearBridge Academy as a respected institution in the magical community.
7. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information discussed during Council meetings or related to the academy's operations.
Requirements:
1. Expertise in Magic and Psychic Development: Possess extensive knowledge and experience in magical practices, psychic development, and related fields, demonstrating a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects.
2. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, fostering effective communication among Council members and with academy stakeholders.
3. Collaborative Spirit: A team player with a collaborative mindset, open to diverse perspectives, and willing to work collectively towards the academy's goals.
4. Ethical Conduct and Professionalism: Exhibit high ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions, respecting confidentiality and maintaining the reputation of the academy.
5. Availability: Willingness to commit the necessary time and effort to attend Council meetings, participate in discussions, and contribute effectively to the academy's activities. (Frequency of meetings to be determined by the Council).
Note: The Council of Witches is a volunteer position, and while no financial compensation is provided, members will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of BearBridge Academy and make a significant impact in the magical community.
